General Terms and Conditions (GTC)
These general terms and conditions (hereinafter “Terms” or “GTC”) apply to all offers of the Royal Racket Tennis Academy (hereinafter also “Academy” or “RRTA”). Unless otherwise agreed in the corresponding offer, the conditions listed here apply. Royal Racket Tennis Academy offers various types of tennis lessons, training, events, courses and camps, services and merchandising in the field of tennis, hereinafter referred to as “Services”.
Reservations and Cancellation Policies
Registration for the Services is done either in-person, by phone or in writing (Email or via the website). Royal Racket Tennis Academy reserves the right to accept or decline the registration. A confirmation Email or WhatsApp is sent to the client. Verbal agreements are non-binding without written confirmation.
Individual training must be cancelled by the player at least 48 hours in advance. Late cancellations will be charged in full.
In case of non-attendance due to force majeure (illness, injury), and upon presentation of a medical certificate, only the corresponding court fee will be billed, and a new appointment is arranged. In the case of a long-term (longer than 4 weeks ) illness/injury, a corresponding Academy voucher may be issued upon presentation of a medical certificate.
Doubles-events must be cancelled at least 48 hours in advance. Late cancellations will be charged in full, unless the player finds a replacement player.
The Group trainings are made of 2,3, or 4 players on a fixed basis, and are prepaid. Unattended group training is non-refundable, unless the player finds a replacement player.
The following provisions apply to short-term cancellation of camp participation upon prior written declaration of the withdrawal:
- Up to 45 days before the start = no cancellation fee.
- Up to 30 days before the start = 30% cancellation fee on the total price.
- Up to 15 days before the start = 50% cancellation fee on the total price.
- Within 15 days before the start of the event , or in a case of a no-show = 100% cancellation fee on the total price.
Prices and Payments:
The price for a training service includes tennis coach, balls, space rental and all other resources necessary for the training.
All prices are listed in Swiss Francs (CHF). Expenses in foreign currencies will be converted at the exchange rate of the Swiss national Bank.
RRTA offers various payment options, including bank transfer and TWINT.
For individual regular players, a monthly billing by invoice is possible upon agreement.
Group courses, Doubles-events and camps are invoiced and prepaid before their start.
Payment is to be made in a timely manner, otherwise a reminder will be sent. An additional reminder will be sent after 14 days and an extra fee of CHF 20.- will be charged towards the owed amount. If the payment remains still unpaid, legal actions may apply.
Elimination from Training:
RRTA reserves the right to exclude from a training and without refund of the training fee, a player who, despite the warning of a coach, disturbs and/or interferes with the training or other players.
Coach replacement:
RRTA reserves the right to replace a coach.
Camps and Events:
If there are not enough registered participants for a group camp or an event, the Royal Racket Tennis Academy reserves the right to cancel the course at short notice. Any payments will be refunded.
In case of unforeseen circumstances (force majeure such as, but not limited to: weather conditions and natural disasters, material shortages, government actions and pandemics), the Royal Racket Tennis Academy reserves the right to adjust the program or dates or to cancel the camp or the event. Customers will be offered an alternative or a refund.
Changes to Terms:
The Royal Racket Tennis Academy reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to change these Terms, programs and prices at any time. Changes will take effect upon their publication on RRTA website. We recommend our customers to regularly check the current Terms.
Liability:
Customers are taking the full responsibility for their own safety, and for the safety of their belongings during training, camps and other events organized by the Royal Racket Tennis Academy.
RRTA is not liable for any claims related to accidents, injuries, damages or thefts. Participants are responsible for their own insurance.
Supervision of minors:
The supervisory responsibility of the Royal Racket Tennis Academy for underage players is limited to the duration of the training session.
Parents/guardians have an obligation to inform their children that they are not allowed to leave the training area unless picked up by their parents/guardians and that they must follow the instructions of the coaches.

Photos and/or videos of training, lessons, camps and events are published on RRTA website. If this is not desired, please send a written note to: info@royalracket.ch
Applicable Law:
The place of jurisdiction is the registered office of the Royal Racket Tennis Academy. Swiss law is exclusively applicable.
